Ok, I was in the Mens Wearhouse today and a guy driving a RSX Type-S came in
I start talking about the car to him being the car nut I am
he told me he has worked there for 27 years and is in charge of car allocation over this region, anyways to make a long story short
He said that next year there will be a RSX Type-R here
But it will be using a s-2000 engine and may not have I-vtec
also he said he has seen the new NSX and it will be a 3.2 or 3.4 liter v-8 with only minor cosmetic difference
well i daily drive a vette and well i am not to to big on honda news so help me out tell me was he full of ****???

hrmm..
Dunno about the RSX-R rumor, could be true...but..
the NSX story he told you sounds legit. I hear from a reliable source (Eric B) that the NSX will have a slight body makeover with a larger liter engine, like ya said.

the new "R" looks like the rsx, along with stronger braces, stifer chassis,etc.. it will have 217hp and 152 lb-ft of torque from a 2.0 liter I-vtec engine. weight will be around 2600lbs w/ AC
wtf? Let's think for a minute... a type R is a finely balanced car. In Japan they already have a R that is finely tuned. Do you think that Honda will re-make one for U.S. just for the heck of it? BS.

I think the RSX story is BS. As for the NSX, there is supposedly going to be a light makeover on the current car with nonretractable headlights and a mildly different rear. In 2004 or so a new NSX is out.
mens warehouse -- is that some kind of gay hangout?
LOL we need some of the BS flags for this 1 about the TYPE R but NSX sounds about right. IMAGINE V8 WITH VTEC bwwaaaaaaaaaa na BWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

The NSX story is believable...but why the **** would they stick the F20 in a car that already has the K20? For one thing, it would cannibalize S2000 sales...guys who wanted pure speed would buy the RSX-R since it's lighter. The S2K weighs 2800 lbs and does the 1/4 mile in 13.8 (estimated Boba-Fett ET). A 2600-lb R with the same engine would prob. hit 13.5/13.6. It's a nice idea but prob. not going to happen.
The NSX is getting a makeover...glass covered headlights instead of pop-ups, and a different rear end with a possible oversized wing...blech. The front looks nice though.
And yep, 2004 should bring the new NSX...VTEC and 8 cylinders that should be pushing 400hp!!!!
The RSX sounds like complete BS...what would it be in Japan then...the Integra Type Zero or something? A top of the line RWD version of a FWD Teg aint happenin....

yes, the 2002 and 2003 NSX doesn't have pop up headlights, but it still only has 6 cylinders and around 300 bhp, and looks different in the back (wing and taillights).... the 2004 NSX looks like an RSX-Modena type thing, and has 8 cylinders and 400 bhp.... the RSX-R bullshit u heard was smoke in your rectum.. they may come out with an RSX-R here, but it won't have an s2k engine in it... it's going to be just like the 2002 honda integra type-r minus the recaros and other nice things that we spoiled americans don't get
The guy at my Acura dealer said the same thing about the S2000 engine in the RSX. I don't know if the guy knows what hes talking about. It obviously doesn't put out as much power. He said it has different cams, ecu, etc, but its the same block and heads.
the s2k motor and rsx motor spin the same way now. also, the rsx motor is based off the s2k motor.
