Any Toda flywheel install problems?
i bought a Toda flywheel from someone on Honda-Tech. i received it and all looks good , packaged only weighed like 8.5 pounds... all good.
When we tried to line it up with the exedy clutch we couldnt get it on correctly.
any reason why?
any one else have this problem?
This is on a b16a2 tranny,

This is on a b16a2 tranny,
my mechanic is doing the work, he says he's nevr seen this kind of problem with a fly wheel before.
What exactly would the alignment tool do...Please dont say .."line it up"
even though i'm sure thats what it does.
OK, i just went to the c-speed clutch install and saw wht the alignment tool does...
i'm sure he's using that.

what exactly is not working? can you guys not get the PP bolted to the flywheel? can't get the flywheel bolted to the crank? can't get the tranny input shaft back into the pilot bearing? need more info.
From what he xpalined, he couldnt get the outer bolts on the flywheel to align with the rest of the clutch..make sense. he said he turned it all different ways but couldnt get just that one hole to line up, he said he had to file down one of the holes a little bit to get it to align correctly.
that Toda flywheel should fit all b series tranny correct?

It is my experience that the pressure plate can only go on the flywheel one way. He must not be manuvering it properly, because I've installed plenty of flywheels, one being Toda, and have never had an alignment problem.

Ditto... either your machanic it a tool, or you got the wrong pressure plate.

There should be absolutely no problems with lining the pressure plate up to the flywheel with that combo.
If it is easier for the guy, take the flywheel off and line it up off the car first, then mark the appropriate holes on the pressure plate so alignment will become easier.
