Default Turbo In The turns.

First off, I have quite a bit of RR/AX experiance been doing it for a while along with lots of caynon runs and whatnots.

I have had like 5 hondas, a few mr2's bunch of other junk.

It seems the more turning I do the less I like my turbo.

When exiting a turn with a turbo car no matter what I can seem to get rid of that *LAG* There is always a period of time (no matter how small the turbo) where the throttle just feels NUMB.

The stock mr2 turbo (also raced my older mr2 with a BB T3/T4 on it) has a bit of lag and man it feels numb comming out of the turns. Usually what you do here is exit at a higher rpm but the retarded stock mr2 turbo has no power over 5K rpms. I find myself having to trailbrake out of turns to keep the boost up. Its quite annoying. This is why I always liked the way turbo hondas felt (still perfer N/A though) My old turbo GSR, the gearing was great, the high CR (even with lower boost) Made sure that the car always had power, then the turbo was like a bonus.

4 cyl, low compression 8.5.1, RWD = bad for turns. Well maybe not bad, but definatly not Ideal. My old hatch even with its front drive (with lsd) was funner in the turns because of the *snappy* throttle response I could get out of the turn.

To bad there is a real shortage of RWD N/A cars here in the US. s2000 would be great (to much $$) Miatas are great but Ide like to make a nice 200 WHP N/A and cant see that being very easy in the miata.

Oh well, just bored and work and thought I would share.

Yea I have become quite the expert at left foot braking.

"Gas sooner" in an mr2 tends to get real twitchy. Im a maniac behind the wheel of an mr2, most mr2's owners fear my aggressiveness with the 2. But I know its limits.

you compensate for the turbo.
easiest thing to do is to just get on the gas sooner.
You are used to gas pedal = go, break yourself of thinking that way, and you can have power exactly when you need it. Just takes more planning

may the b00st be with you

When I get my GT2530 BB Turbo on here, things just might get fun.

Needs some more grip too, Im running 225 Junk supras right now and they are not holding up. 245 Azenas on the back and I should be able to power out ALOT earlier.

Also have a big rear sway bar with no LSD. Thats a must fix.
