Default New owner impressions and questions

Well I just got back from a good long drive in my new [Formerly Nosamk's R] ride, 98 Type R 1035. I am in absolute heaven, this car is great. The engine is wonderful and very smooth and quick revving. The tranny is one of the best I've ever used. The suspension is fantastic, and I found myself cruising through turns at speeds i'd be at the limit in my Porsche 911. I didnt really try to push my limits too much, as i'm still very inexperienced with the car. I can't wait to get some more seat time, this thing rocks. A question for you vets though:
heel and toeing is pretty tough, has anyone used aftermarket pedals to help aid this?

Overall I am very happy to own such a fun, rare, and good looking car

NC guys, if you're at the auto-x this sunday in winston, look for a kid in a CW R looking lost as ****, cause thats me and it'll be my first one

Rob~

Jack (B18CXr) and I will be there and we will look for you. I must admit it's pretty weird seeing #1035 somewhere else, but I guess I'll get used to it

If the car isn't already out of Stock class, I believe pedal covers will take you to SP, if you are a stickler for the rules OR someone decided to protest. If the car's already modded, it's a moot point.

You guys have fun at the auto-x!

[edit for poor spelling]

well i'd be fine being in a higher class at the occasional auto-x and be able to drive the car better every day. Anyways, i'm just going out for ***** and giggles, definately planning on spinning at least once

Ayup. Tein HA coilovers. I'd say he's out of stock class

Who's TL is that, Rob? I might be able to sneak out Sunday as well. Can't run, but I can spectate, 'specially if Jack and Jason are going to be there.

Might could run STS or STR if you want instead of CSP, but does Triad run the ST classes? Anybody know?

The TL is my moms mobile, never sees vtech unless i drive it

I put the teins on their highest stiffness setting, and damn they are no joke, I thought my damn teeth were gonna start dropping out. But its very cool to be able to mess with it

I can't wait to meet you guys. Some friends and I are doing some juvenile cruising tomorrow night in High point if anyone is interested

maybe i should have been more clear, the ITR is easier to drive at the limit than the 911. I have no doubt that if there were two of me, the 911 could definately hang with the ITR, but the Rob in the 911 would be workin a lot harder. That makes since, or do i need to elaborate more...

and yes, I do still have it, and will continue to have it until A. Hell freezes over, or B. BMW people stop considering themselves superior to all other auto brand enthusiasts.
