94 LX Auto Tranny being goofy...
Ok, here is the deal...........
94 LX Auto, 220K miles, VERY well maintained by previous owner ($40k in receipts).
Anyways, the tranny does this goofy thing at about 70-80 MPH. It will jump up 200 RPM (not slide, but jump). If you give it throttle, it will jump back down 200 RPM. I changed all the fluids and it made no difference.
Should I try changing those solenoids on the front of the tranny? What does the top set and bottom set do?
Thanks for the help

going up or down hill or on flat ground?
it is the lockup torque converter disengaging and then re-engaging. I would not worry about it too much....epecially with the amt of miles on it.

Naw, flat ground, no load. I tried switching the top set of solenoids last night and it made no difference. I am going to try to swpa out the lower set in the next day or two. The screens were clean on the top set.
