From: at last finally back to sweet home, sunny north cali, usa
out of my 95 del sol vtec which i've owned since brand new. 105k on engine. as late as 85k miles the car made 178 whp and 117 ft-lbs (blue graph). one of the strongest "stock" b16a known - propelled my car to 14.3 @ 98 mph. car weights 2400 lbs with driver... the car was on sports compact car's g-force challenge. :-)

anyway, this long block is in good condition except slightly worn (after all it's been 105k of great service
. excellent choice for a rebuild. head has never been off the block. this is also a fully smog legal engine too (instead of a jdm b16a which can be hard to smog as a swap) - should you want to swap it into another car... taking resonable offers on the head and block. hmm, actually i'm curious to see what a well used 105k bottom end looks like. i will probably disassemble it first.
ps, i replaced the motor with a jdm 2nd gen b16a long block. if all goes well, i hope to hit 180 whp with it with similar setup (keeping the head on the block again) as my old one. but with some better tuning and couple of extra bolt on parts. we'll see soon. just finished the swap today (thanks to R.Crew!) and the engine sounds very promising... i miss 9500 revs! been driving d16z6 (my hb) for a little too long. i love how b16a pulls.
