Default Building question: What tq wrench do you use? and. . .

What TQ wrench do you guys reccomend for engine build ups? I dont think i want to trust my engine with a 20 dollar pep boy tq wrench. So lets hear what the pros use!!!

Also, What scales do you guys reccomend for weighing rods and pistons?

SNAP-ON! or Craftsman, but don't go cheap... even those guys have bargain wrenchs. As for the scale what do you need it for? Usually shops that do balancing and stuff have the scales righ there. You just take them all your components and they take care of the rest. (unless your like making a machine shop or something in which case I'd like to be the first to beg you to be my friend!)

I got a Crafstman tq wrench, you set the Ft lbs and it clicks when you reach it.There is another Craftsman tq wrench that has a meter type gauge on it and it kinda sux but gets the job done.

I know SnapOn and Craftsman have good stuff. Probably Mac tools too. However, which TQ wrench are the engine builders using? The 100 dollar craftsman one or the 300 dollar XXXX brand one? Would it matter?

As for the scale, What acculab are you using? what is the range of measuring? or a model name?

Thanks

No im not opening a machine shop
