brake caliper upgrade
looking to upgrade my '95 accord brakes but damn hard to look for a nice set of calipers for it.
brembo = too bling for an old car
fastbrakes = anyone know this product? kinda inexpensive
aem/wilwood/ap-racing doesn't have caliper application for it.
what other company makes 4-pot calipers for the accord?
i know hp makes a 6 pot caliper but how good is it?

Unless you can find a kit with all four wheels....don't waste your money. It'll throw the baising off and cause you to lose braking performance. If anything, go with some legend calipers up front, and an adjustable bias valve to help adjust for the slightly thrown off brake bias. It's a very complicated subject, but I spent over a half year studying under one of the head engineers at GM on the subject of brakes......Big brake kits are *mostly* just for show... You can only stop as fast as your tires will hold to the ground.
AEM has a 4 piston big brake kit, its expensive though. if you really want to spend like a grand, you might as well pickup a set of NSX calipers all around and play w/ that, like $400-500 a set, and then use one of the 11" front rotor upgrades (v6/wagon/CL+hubs), and find a 11", 23mm wide rotor that fits in the rear and has the correct offset.
if you want to go cheap, large single pistons up front (any caliper off the OEM 11" rotor size should fit") + 11" rotors w/ decent pads and really nice pads in the rear (maybe axxis ultimates).

Larger brakes may not give a large brake power advantage over stock but one advantage of larger brake rotors that many people forget about is brake cooling. A larger rotor obviously has a larger surface area. They will cool faster than a smaller rotor so there is less chance of brake fade due to heat under heavy braking.

In my opinion don't get the AEM big brake kit...the rotors are not that good cuz of the material they're made out of and the calipers are ok. But i feel that big brakes do make a difference. I have the brembo 13 inch rotors and 4 piston calipers and they stop on a dime. Especially at speeds over a 100mph. But they cost alot and finding rims are almost impossible. (Having volk racing custom making me a set)
either do the V6/Wagon brake upgrade or the Legend caliper swap. best bang for the buck, especially if you are handy and can rebuild a set of calipers yourself. search the accord forum cause there are a ton of threads on it.

If your fading under daily driver, your definetly doing something wrong or illegal or both.

towing in a hilly area would do it

If your towing something so heavy (WITH AN ACCORD!) that your fading, your definetly doing something wrong. I think 4-cylinder Accord towing capacity is somewhere around 1500lbs. And if your fading with that, get some new brake pads and fluid.
