Default how to take shift linkage off of my broken LS tranny????

Ok I am purchasing an LS tranny to swap into my car and getting rid of my 97 jdm itr one so I can swap my car back to stock. My question is the person I am buying my tranny from says it comes with everything except for the shift linkage. I have a busted LS tranny that I took nothing off of so how do I take that off my tranny. It is the part that has the black rubber peice over it correct? I pulled it off and it is a silver circular peice but it looks as though it is connected to the tranny. If some one has a pic of the shift linkage and how to get it off that would be appreciated.

So you can see the silver ring arount the lingkage. take that off then you will see a hollow pin that goes through the linkage. Now tap that pin out, sometimes it is stubborn and sometimes it takes little at all. Hope I answered your question

yea the piece off hte linkage that is hooked up to the shifter itself goes down along side the exhaust piping and ends up in a rubber bushing connected to the tranny.. its a 12mm. after you take that bolt and bushing off, go to the part where the shifter is connected to and there are two more 12mm bolts with a rubber spacer bettween them. take those out and the shift linkage will come out... if this is the info you needed i hope it helps you out..if its the other piece of linkage ure tlaking about, i have an idea of how to take that out but not as sure as i am with the first one...
