just letting the wheels turn here...on jdmhondaparts.com there is a pic of this that shows it, plus our USDM one, and a USDM one hollowed to save weight...would it be possible (or even worth it) to do the same to the all aluminum one? 2.4 lbs maybe shaved down to 1.5 or less? don't know the "strength" of the aluminum if it were hollowed...
I'd also like to know where this part could be obtained, b/c 120 bucks from jdmhondaparts.com seems a little steep to pay to save 5 lbs!

although its called an a/c bracket..its more of an engine mount..i considered leaving it off completely..but while watching the car on the dyno decidied to leave on..the engine jumps around way too much as it is..
120 bucks is what it costs..im at the point where 120 bucks for 5lbs is a bargain..

Interesting you said that, because I removed all my AC except for that HEAVY bracket. I was planning to remove the bracket this weekend...now maybe I will live with the 6lbs, and keep the motor IN the engine bay!!!
This piece is webbed in the back for strength, if drilled, it might just toss the motor to the floor if launched hard enough. Running you car without this lower motor is an invite for something bad to happen, soon. Once you see a car on the dyno, you will never what to remove it.
