D16Z6 to B16 conversion
Is it possible to change the heads on a D16 with B16 heads, and make it a DOHC, but still keep the D16 block, or would it just be cheaper to get a whole new motor?
Don't throw nitrous at it.
My stock Z6 with a slight port job put down 109 wtq. That's about the same as a stock B16.
A custom turbo kit with fuel management can be had for less then 5-700 if you take your time. This will be reliable and I've seen most put down around 180-200 whp
B16 swaps are easy....but not always worth it...just depends on your plans and how far you are willing to go to make power

Not everyone has the knowledge that some of the rest of us have here, so let's not use that against a new member looking for answers, okay?
Blur the question has already been answered though:
You cannot swap any SOHC D series heads with any DOHC B series heads.
If you'd like to search our site for more D Series tech, or if other D Series enthusiasts would like to add helpful links and/or comments then by all means, please do.

No, you can not swap a B-series head onto a D-series block. A B-series has 2 cams, an intake and an exhaust. A D-series has only 1 cam. Since 1 does not equal 2, you can not swap the heads.
I hope that helped. Do some searching on this site. It has a bunch of good information.
Since you have a D-series engine, read this thread for some upgrades and info...

you can also go to http://pub143.ezboard.com/bhondadseries or http://pub161.ezboard.com/bbseriesalternative both are great d series boards with tons of useful info. I would suggest registering there.
