SCC just did a reasonable article on superchargers and the differences between Roots-type Eaton SC's and centrifugal superchargers like the Vortech. Generally speaking the centrifugal superchargers have a narrow powerband that would not be a good compliment to the power characteristics of the Type R motor.

They have to release the GSR blower first...then wait a couple of months for the R blower

I think you are talking about the guy in Indy, who fabricated an SI kit for his R.

Never in my life go with SC because of this Belt idea. JR system sucks with that damm belt always stretching and need to be adjusted due to seasonal weather and age. The worstof all is that there is no space in engine compartment for a easy tighten adj. due to the shock tower in its way of the tension pulley! This is on my Delsol i sold to my dad. I knew it will haunt me rest of my life having a family member owning it.

here is the R of the owner of Indy Import Performance: the supercharger is for the SI, but he finally got it in the R. He had some problems bolting it on since it wasn't made for the car. The owner just finished getting it on, and plans to dyno the car soon. I'm still somewhat skeptical on how it's gonna perform. I dont' know the owner very well, but i heard that they are still pretty much amateurs at what the do. (NOT MY OPINION) However, Vortech said that they would actually have an application for the R. Sucks for the owner of IIP.
