They are listed as specific to the Type R. Anyone have them? Are they better than the H&R Type R springs?
Found them here:

Thanks!

not sure if they're any better or worse, but if you take a look at the SKU they're both the same.
Springs, Comptech Sport (Type R 97-01) 23.3010
Springs, Comptech Sport (GSR, RS, GS, LS 94-01) 23.3010
seems they would have diff #s if they were different.
yoshi - who might be talking outa his 455

hrmm good point. Interesting they quote different lowering amounts. Guess I need to call them . . .
I believe they quote different lowering amounts b/c the type R is already lower than the gsr by about 1/2". Hence half inch difference in quoted lowering..gives you exactly the same height for both cars.

if they are the same springs, they would lower both cars equally (i.e 1.5"). Since they claim the Type R sprins only lowers 3/4" it would *have* to be a different spring. Other wise the type R would also be lowered 1.5"
The cars weigh the same (basically) so regardless of where they start (height wise) they will both be lowered the same amount, given the springs are the same.

Straight from Comptech's Site:
Springs, Comptech Sport (GSR, RS, GS, LS 94-01)
$179.95
Sport Springs 1.25" drop
For Years: 94 - up
Installation Time: 4 hours
Springs, Comptech Sport (Type R 97-01)
$179.95
Sport Springs 1/2"-3/4" drop
For Years: 97 - 01
Installation Time: 4 hours
According to my liturature, the R is 15mm lower than the GSR from the factory. That is approximately 19/32" or a little more than half an inch.
OK now, little more than half an inch down from the factory plus the 1/2" to 3/4" lowering provided by the springs, gives you darn close to 1-1/4" of lowering from that of a GSR. The springs for the GSR are quoted to be 1- 1/4" lower.
I would say they are the same springs, considering the SKU is the same.

Same springs--I called them a while back. Also, the rates in the comptech springs *suck*. They are no better than the R springs at all. They go up a few lbs in the front and the rears stay the same, if not lose a few lbs.
Look elsewhere for ITR springs.
