3rd POWER BROKEN POWERSTEERING LINE/HONDA WONT PAY CLAIM!!!
Help! has anyone had a power steering line break, leak, or fail @the bend right by the compresser. mine has broken three times. the last time right after i had the front motor mount replaced due to it being torn!, that must of been the cause all along....the tech believes the mount or something is the cause.(the mount has been torn for some time, so it is possible that it was the cause forsure!)i dont know...the store will split the cost for the part(and labor) w/ me(200.00 my part!) but this is just wrong and what is to say it wont happen again, and the area sevice rep is the guy who says because i have lowered my car or the fact that i put a JDM type r valve cover w/out one of the brakets removed might have caused this ....any feed back would be great..thx..mateo

Threaten them with a lawer. If that does not work, kick some ***. I've been in for my clutch two times and they still haven't fixed the problem. Lazy cheap bastards!
thank you for the support..i don't get it, i have never seen anything like it...thank god my charger wasn't on...(like it would matter) the stupid mount has got to be the problem, but this rep never even came and looked at the car...it is like they take out this little list...lets see,1)has the car been lowered? 2) is there any aftermarket parts on the car? oh...the car has a few changes! declined!!!!!! I AM NOT HAPPY!!!! %$#@*&%&$*!!!!!!
they are saying the #2 bracket is the problem.the type r jdm valve cover, only has one bracket -v- the usdm type s...
i will persue legal action towards american honda if need be...but, come on, this is wrong... these people(not the dealer!)are acting like sears not nordstrom, in their ability to be customer centered and figure out first and formost why the damn thing keeps beaking in the fist place...
FYI thx...mateo

is there any posibility that the 1 bracket would cause the line to break?
if so you got no case. lowering the car has nothing to do with anything
if they are being little nitpicky bastards about it, just put the stock parts back in, and let the ******* replace it.

It sounds like a torn motor mount could certainly cause an undue amount of flexing of the p/s line assembly, and it would be reasonable to expect Honda to cover a torn motor mount, provided you've not done anything to the car to cause it to tear. However, if you've altered or eliminated OEM brackets that actually locate the p/s line, or any part of the line assembly, it's unreasonable to expect Honda to cover that part of the issue. Even if the torn motor mount was ultimately the problem, you compromised a design aspect of the line that *could possibly* have kept the line from rupturing.
Did the p/s line ever break when you had the OEM valve cover with the appropriate brackets on the car? Was the motor mount torn before you put the JDM valve cover on it? If not, then IMO, you're in the wrong here.
Slightly off topic, but what did Honda say was the cause of the torn motor mount?
