you must have pinched a wire in the valve cover or timing cover. did you check that?

IG1 and IG2 are grounded somewhere and they don't run near the timing belt.

are the wires red/green and yellow/black?

Yea and I wish I could correct the problem. It really sucks because I live in Texas and I can hardley stand 5 minutes under my dash with my body twisted up trying to follow this stupid wire. It was 103 degrees out today.

well, the yel/blk goes to the main relay, and the red/green goes to the dist. if that helps.

sort of laid out- the yellow/black goes to the 4 injectors, EACV, purge control solenoid, and the main relay

the red/green goes to the distributor as the yel/green wire (ignition input signal)

.... and the yellow/black wire also goes to IG1 and IG2 which is where I've stated a ground occuring with both wires. I'm not showing any problems with my injectors, Iacv, or purge control solenoid being grounded.
