Correct engine code for Type-S?

Correct engine code for Type-S?

I see people referring to the engine code in the Type-S as K20C, yet my window sticker says the engine code is K20A2. Which is correct?

I also thought it was K20C for the Type-S, and K20A for the Base model.

The S2000 is K20B.

I originally saw the K20C designation on Temple of VTEC Asia's website. It was the first website to get any kind of reliable info on the new K series engines. Maybe the assumed the R or S would have a C designation. Later documentation seems to show that both type S and JDM Type R have a K20A engine.
