i have a 99ls integra. i will be puttin on a vtec head soon. after that i want to either superchrage or turbo. so which would you guys recommend for a reliable daily driven car. i want some pretty big reliable gains. eventually i would like to be in the low 13's or high 12's. thanks

 

Either way properly tuned they are both reliable for the et's you are looking to run. Are you going to be happy with low 13's, possibly high 12's? Do you plan on building your bottom end anytime soon? Are you going to do more engine work in the future? There are many questions and the topic has been debated several times.

 

I would go turbo. I had good results with ls/vtec turbo. I got fully built ls/vtec and @ 5 Psi it spins first 3 gears.

 

I would go turbo as well. Im biased but turbo can be reliable just depends on who the tuner is.

My motor is an LS Vtec with an Intercooled supercharger, It is very reliable and makes good power. It makes plenty of low down power too, over 200lbs at 3000 rpms. Of course tuning is a big part of anything.

 

thanks for all of your replies. i have decided to go supercharger since it is a daily driver and there is not to many turbo tuners in my town. so which supercharger should i get for my ls/vtec?

 

The cylinder head will decide which kit you need. The GSR head is the odd bolt pattern , The B16A and type R heads are the same and the same kit will fit either.
