heard some talk of a gsr intake mani on a y8 head or any dseries head...possible??
if so please explain.....i searched around with no luck. the reason i want to do this is because the d16a6's restrictive intake mani will be the weak link in my d16y8 head with a p&p and 3 angle valve job
i cant see why its possible.......... or why it would be an advantage........... just because the stock gsr manifold uses that wack dual butterfly throttle body and most c1 users swap it for an R manifold or a skunk 2.......... the only way i can see it workin on a d series is welding coustom flanges on the manifold........... could be wrong though
I haven't heard of people putting the GSR intake mani on a D-series.
I have heard of the D16Y8 intake manifold refered to as the "D-series ITR" manifold.
If you are looking for a different manifold to replace the restictive stock A6 manifold you have, maybe the Edelbrock intake manifold or the D16Y8 manifold would be good choices.

yeah, i'll start looking for either a y8 or an aftermarket one when i get some money. The only reason i was asking about a gsr mani is my friend has one that he would give me for FREE, which is always good. Oh, and i forgot about the secondaries on the mani...i would imagine i could wire them up to some rpm switch.....come to think of it, that would be pretty cool. I can feel them when they open up in his gsr....but i guess were also talking a good 40-50 hp then i'll have. for any matter does a b series mani have the same bolt pattern? thanks
