Replaced Dizzy now no spark
My dizzy died on me about 2 weeks ago, so I replaced it. I have a DOHC ZC & as soon as I put teh new dizzy on I was getting a TDC code, so I went & exchanged that dizzy for another one & now I get no spark. WTF- did I get another bad dizzy? I have a life time warrenty on the part, but is my luck really that bad or could something else be wrong? I really think that it is just teh dizzy, but my gf's dad (mechanic for 25 years) thinks that something else is wrong. TIA
Well it is possible to get bitten twice on a replacement part. I would also check for Codes and whether your connectors are OK. I am assuming that you went to a major retailer like Advance to get this item. The best rebuilt distributors seem to come from Beck-Arnley.
Again-check all of the wiring at the distributor connectors first and then turn the key to the ON position while looking at the ECU for Codes. If you are otherwise OK-then take this dizzy back.
