Default Anyone Know How To Replace Rubber Moldings on the Windshield of an EG?

Has anyone every replaced the rubber moldings on an EG Civic that go around the windshield? Does the windshield need to come off? Any thing special that needs done to put them on?

ANY help would be appreciated. Mine are dry, cracked and nasty and I finally have my replacements.

Thanks for the help.

They can be removed w/o removing the windshield. They are held in by clips...dang I'd scan my Helms book to scan the picture.
I used some window trim tools to release the clips from the moulding.

** might help

just use common sense.....it goes wherever there is a big glass/plastic/metal gap.....most of it will go underneath the the long horizontal rubber strip

well seeings how i just had my front windshield replaced 2 seconds ago i think i have a fair idea..

just pop off the side moldings.. little clips hat pop off if you just pull up on them (unless there is 3m glue behind them already, then there a bitch)

as for the top just peal it off, get the 3m windshield adhesive, put it down where the moldings go, carefully put the moldings back in matcing up the clips and pop it in, the top strip should be done 2nd after one side, push the little tab into the side molding, then carefully lay out it across the winshield adhiesive and push down flush to windshield

put the last side molding on and clean up all the excess adhesive and your done
