For the MONEY-- can you beat Full Race? (Convo- no tech info here)
Sorry to Mase and Geoff - this is NO disrespect towards you all. If anything- it should be applauded as you are the pinnacle as which comparisons are made.
Anyways- do you guys think that for the money you can build a better performing and well rounded kit with such quality products? I mean - the manifolds, turbos and intercooler are all pretty much top notch.. In my opinion, the manifold is NOT touched.. But when it comes down to it- if your buying all NEW parts-- I think it would be very hard to piece togather a kit of this magnitude..
Hell-- the mani and turbo alone tag up to over 1500$ if you were to buy NEW.. Granted - you could probably buy used stuff and knock- off mani's (LoveFab--no disresect intedned- your manis OWN for the money)..
But ****- Full Race is putting out a good product for the money.. What are your guys thoughts on it assuming your buying new parts??

I would say no, I have talked to Geoff in detail and know what is involved and cost etc. For less money no unless someone is completely whoring out there products and not making a dime. I have had two Full race manis a T3 flanged mani and now the T4 flanged mani, there is nothing out there that touches it IMHO. QUALITY!!!!!!!!!

Alot of it depends on what your goals are also. If you looking for a good setup and not looking to make a ton of power there are alot of options that will work very well for you. You can build a good kit for alot less money. It all depends what you want.

Nah I think it will be Full Race VS Meng Headers, we were talking quality here.
OOPS then Meng gets it all the way.

Like mentioned above it depends on a few things, budget, goals, streetcar, race car... the list goes on and on. Everyone knows the quality of this manifold, but not everyone can afford it. I am not willing to lose a/c so i chose the best manifold IMO that retains a/c. I am not going extreme with my car so i opted to go with inlinepro because it fit my budget and goals. If you want every edge and plan to really make some power Full race is worth every penny

Depends are you looking to make the most power possible or just after 400-500 whp? If going for more then 500whp you would be probably better off getting a brand that has a very good reputation such as Full Race. But if not then yes many other turbo kit manufacturers will be able to give you what you want for less money.
people who build cars and in this case hondas, are not always looking for top notch. it's more the best bang for the buck. the full race manifold is an awesome product. its surpassed probably all mass produced manifolds on the market today. however, cash talks in this game and life. some people out there cannot justify spending the amount needed for a full race set-up.
you can get great results using just a cast/tubular manifold like many in the past have done. it all comes down to the individual, the use of the car, the budget, patience, etc. to determine what is the right combo for any car.

what everyone has said is exactly right -- our stuff is not necessary. It works extremely well and it is aesthetically pleasing however if you just want a low boost system that is fun to drive and you arent trying to break any records or get every last bit of power out of your car, then a simple run-of-the-mill turbo kit might suit your needs a bit more.
so getting to the question -- can it be beat? Depends what your definition of "beat" is... I think it would be difficult to make more power with less effort for less money. Building your own kit, fabricating piping, modifying end tanks, making a downpipe, etc takes a lot of time effort and money...

I'd have to say that it can be done but it takes time and still a good chunk of change. Like stated above you really do have to have your goals in mind and work towards those goals with the money that you have. I know for a fact that in my situation w/ the tools that i have at hand i could put(and I am putting, lol) a kit together for myself that will encompass products that are similar in design and hopefully performance as the full race kits for less than half the price. I've made my own manifold, running the pwr air to water(thanks for the deal earl), and still picking up the few little things i don't have for the best deals i can find. I know my manifold could never measure up to the pure beauty and craftsmanship of Geoffs work but I try my best and I'm happy with what i have. Its all opinion and motivations that will decide how you go about putting together your car. But kit vs. kit, i'd say that Full Race stands out in the honda market today! Full Race
is it hard to buy one of the full race kits? i plan on buying one soon and just want to make sure i dont have to wait like 4 months to get it!
msrp is $3800?

Full-Race mani, Precision (or again, Full-Race) turbo of some nature, Tial wastegate = ~$2000. You still need a lot of **** to back it up - three pretty performance parts on a shelf does not a fast car make.
Zero bling 12 second work truck spec CRX HF, a monument to zip tie engineering = ~$2000. My priorities, as you have all noticed, are extremely fucked. Just my $0.02
