You should try searching the internet, there are more than enough enthusiest sites that break each year and model down for you.
But to be brief, the HF is the "High Fuel" model. 63HP, 48+ MPG, it's all about enonomy, but it's a CRX so it's still fun to drive. DONT buy any performance upgrades for the stock engine because it's not worth it, it's a good base car for an engine swap tho.. good luck

But Hf's DO HAVE MPFI so they are easier in that regard to upgrade. If you do a engine swap though will need to replace the front steering knuckles and hubs however.
No sunroof, no rear wiper, lighter, etc, etc.............

Also anything but an intake is too much for a mod for this why... you can use the intake if you decide to go with the SI D16A6 motor. BTW if you buy this get the ZC motor or a B18. Though The ZC might be a bit harder to pass smog with.

hahahah yeah right
edit: Anyway the CRX HF has different seats, carpet, and wheels than the other two models. It also has no rear wiper. The HF was only available with a manual transaxle, and had super tall gears for good gas mileage. It also had an 8 valve engine with MPFI that made 63 hp. If you found a good deal, get it. They are nice and light (and have MPFI) making them good for swaps. If you don't swap the engine, an HF is capable of around 50 mpg on the highway, so that's good too. Oh yeah they were only available in blue and white with a blue interior until 91 when red with a black interior became available.

HF's are great cars. mine doesnt get 50 miles per gallon on any road. But that might be a problem with have a ACT clucth in there and a CARB-IL short ram intake. But im also guessing the last owner of this car put a different head on it.
HF comes with 60 hp engine 1.5=50mpg, nasty blue interior, drums in the back. no wiper in the back, no sunroof, no passanger slde mirror, seats are not comfortable thats all i can think of.
One thing for sure those cars are best for swaps. weight
