just removed vafc now runs ike crap!
Ok I took out my vafc to sell it and now the car runs like hell. I dont get it it was fine now it backfires and runs just like utter crap. I have now power between 8 and 3000 rpms. The check engine light is on and I dont remember how to get the code.
k ill bite im here, em when you took the vafc out were you sure splice all the factory wires and put it back the way it was. you also may want to reset your ecu, im not sure how the vafc interacts with thte ecu but it may have "learned" to deal with the vafc being hooked up and now that it is gone the ecu is over compensating.
3 things to try:
1. check those wires and when ur sure they are right check them agian, if you have a wiring problem theres no point in even doing the next steps
2. reset the ecu buy either pulling the fuse, or taking the negitive off of the battery.
3. if reseting the ecu doesn't work and the car still runs like ****, and you REthrow the CEL , you need to check the code, and then go from there.

i would do almost every thing that prelittlelude said, except i would add check the codes first. then after you have them written down i would pull the ecu fuse. I would almost bet that is the problem, but you would already have the codes just in case.

your right there is 2 wires you have to cut and put 2 different wires on the 2 different ends of the cut wire. If you can make sense of the great. ANyway I am gonna resplice those wires and see what happens. Thanks for the help!

you are right. I was just talking about the actual wire harness for the ecu. Not for the vafc. But anyway thanks for the help again
