Launching between 3-4k always worked better for me with my 98 GSR along with only a quarter tank of gas. And of course lots of practice and getting to know your car.

It's ok bud...practice and you'll be fine.

My 1st time I ran a 15.6 with n1 catback, shortshifter, and cai.

Then I got some better tires, race clutch, fidanza fw, and i hit a 15.3 my 1st try...Althought I was too tired from the drive up there to beat that time :\

The only problem I see is the 60' time. If you get that down to 2.3 or 2.2 you will be turning very good times. Keep it up! My first time was a 15.5 and now I am at 15.1

not bad for your 1st time. at least you hit 15's! ive seen alot of modded GSR's running 16's. try to get ur 60ft time down (try launching lower and feathering the throttle to ruduce tire spin) and you should be good to go.

a few weeks ago i raced my friends car at sears pt raceway for him. here wat i did
95 GSR, short ram intake, lowered, 15" rota's on 205/50-15 Kumho 711 at 28psi with full interior (jack, spare, seats, misc ****)

1st run (me driving)
RT : .518
60FT : 2.337
1/4 : 15.493 @ 89.6

2nd Run (my brother driving)
RT: .754
60FT : 2.270
1/4 : 15.214 @ 91.25

3rd Run (me driving again)
RT : .478
60FT : 2.201
1/4 : 15.062 @ 90.6

4th Run (bro again)
RT : .423
60FT : 2.56
1/4 : 15.59 @ 92.2

my best friend also ran his 2000 GSR (AEM intake, 4.785fd & CM flywheel) he hit a best of 15.393 @ 87 ( also ran a 15.87, 15.79, and 15.59)
