Ls header work on gsr motor?
I have a 98 gsr swap in my cx hatch. A friend and I are negotiating a trade right now and an LS DC 4-2-1 stainless header is involved. Currently i have just an intake and an exhaust. Will the header fit properly? I know it will bolt up to the head but what about clearance and length? I heard these can play a roll. I just dont wanna bend the damn thing...that's why I'm not going to get a 4-1. Main thing is if it will sit where the stock manifold does under the block and the length. Thanks guys

Collector pipe is too long. The GS-R manifold's collector flange starts right after the lower bracket. The LS/ITR flanges are a few inches behind that bracket.

yeah...gonna have to cut and reweld if you really want it to fit.

Actually the header was like 5-6 inches too short. Is this an LS header? The car it came off of had a custom exhaust so maybe it was some other b-series header or something. It bolts to the block fine but doesnt even come close to the exhaust. Just out of curiosity I was wondering what the header for?

How far does it extend past the engine bracket? An inch or two and it's a GS-R header. Any more than that makes it for a LS/ITR or B16.
