I know H the is the prelude motor and the xx numbers folowing it is the displacement, like H22A H23 H22A1 H22A4 i think that's them, but i would just like to know which ones are which like which are VTech and what generations you can find that motor and which would be the most powerful? first of all it is "VTEC".
H22A and H22A1 are closed deck blocks and are found in the 4th gen ludes 190HP.
H22A4 is open deck block and is found in the 5th gen lude 195HP to 200HP. there are actually two different H22A4 blocks (SH and Base) and the cams are different as well in the two engines.
Not sure which block was used in the Type S but it came with a pnp head atts and higher cr pistons was 220hp.
H22A6 is found in Accord Euro-R around 220HP.
H23 is found in the SI 4th gen lude non-VTEC 165hp.
I think this is the right info but if there are mistakes somebody please assist me.
You can save mucho amounts of time if you use the "Search Function".

Default H23

From what i've seen, there are at least 2 versions of the 2.3l:
* H23A1 = USDM
* H23A2 = Euro, given for 160hp
Not sure about which one is JDM.

(oops) and H22A5 is an Euro 5th gen Lude engine, it's given at 185hp @flywheel

Also, there was no h23a in japan. I think the jdm equivalent was the f22 dohc non-vTak
