Also, what turbo are you running, and if you could do it over again...would you go with a bigger or small turbo?

 

6.5 psi @ 2500rpm on d16z, nissan t3, a little bigger like a 60 trim or something but i haven't run more boost yet so i'm not sure

 

4500 rpm... but when it hits

 

I'm only running 5psi, full boost comes at 3500rpm. I rather like the sizing of my turbo.. Yeah, I would get it again if I had to choose.

 

greddy on d15y5 boost starts at 2800 full boost by 3400

going with a 3" downpipe and boost controller so spool time should decrease a bit.

 

4400rpm

 

~9psi full boost by around 4500rpm. Full 3" exhaust system has made a BIG difference in top end and spool time.

 

3500rpm, .54bar using nissan T-28

 

2500 hks t25

 

sc61 on a gsr.. 6psi at 4000rpm.. full 3" exhaust is a must and I would pick the same turbo if I was doing it again..

 

3500 at 8psi on my old t3/t04b.

 

how come i dont hit 9lbs until like 8k rpm?
i have a b16 motor, gsr tranny and a t3t4oe 57 trim.
this normal for me?

 

on a saab T3 on a gsr i had 10psi by 2200rpms. i was always boosting, even highway driving, up a slight hill it would start building boost.

 

I start seeing boost a little under 3k and full bost a little under 5k ,
im running a garret t3/04e 60trim compressor, 82 turbine, stage 3 wheel

 

chamaleon, most likelly u have boost leack(s) somewhere.

check all ur fittings i have a small leack that made my spool start at 3500 and full boost by 4krpm.. fixed teh boost and made a big dif.

about 500rpm sooner with a .63 ar

 

i didnt notice any diff really between my .63 and my .82

 

my mani is wrapped...don't know if that'd make a difference tho

 

I'm still deciding on a SC61 or an SC52. Bump for good thread though

 

i start building 4lbs about 4k and it climbs to 9lbs by 8k rpm, i dont hit 9lbs @ 5k or anything, if i did that would rock .. i dont think i have a leak anywhere, if i do what am i looking for ?

weird, i used to hit 7.5 psi by 3700 on my 2.25 inch greddy exhaust

this was on a t3/t04e .63 a/r 57 trim 4 bolt

3400 rpms w/ open downpipe

 

check all ur fittings. where ur tubes attaches to each other.. an other place is the air temp sensor. if you have that hole and sensor there, remove the sensor and cover that hole.

check also ur waste gate and blowoff valve, if they are new and havent been tampered with then concentrate on the leaks from the fittings.

check to see if you have a small crack in your exhaust manifold. you have a leak some where in your setup

 

i have a 57trim 60a/r, 3" downpipe, 3" ehxaust and 2.5 intercooler piping.
its on a b16 motor.. i have an XS manual boost controller and i hit 9lbs @ like 8000rpm and it starts building 4lbs at 4000rpm.
