B18C1 compatible with my ls auto tranny?
My car is a 1994 Acura Integra RS with auto. I am thinking of doing an engine swap when my engine dies. I wonder if I could get a B18C1 to work with my auto tranny. Thank you!
FYI
Auto-Manual Swaps are very cheap if your already doing an engine swap..
You can find the pedal box and shifter linkage at your local wreckers for $100 +/-

Using the Auto tranny the Engine will never get the secondary intake runners open before the tranny shifts. Might not use VTEC much either.
HOw about ls/vtec for an auto.. and maybe a vtec controller. Would that work.. I've been trying to find out, but no clue yet. I, too, have an auto integra. I think I can get the whole thing done for around 800, with ECU. So I'm still debating on whether it works or not. Any opinions??
I was told that I can get a JDM GSR auto tranny to go with USDM GSR motor. There are auto GSRs in Japan. Is that feasible? I believe the gears are suited for VTEC. Am I right?
will you be doing the work yourself?
If yes, do yourself a favor and get a manual tranny. It's not that much more work and the benefits are so much better.
If not and you're paying somebody, may as well pay them a little more. It sucks to spring for a GS-R motor and be as fast as an RS 5-speed.
