yeah, even though the ITR is a hatchback, really, i like the 'smallness' of the 6th-gen civic hb's better. even though the CTR's weigh only about 100lbs less than the ITR, and the wheelbase is longer, i still dig it.
EP -- I was looking into the Civic R before they decided not to import it here ("settled" for my '97 ITR).
How's the waiting list for the Silver State Challenge, I need another reason to drive out there!!

http://www.spoonsports.co.jp says it all. The Civic R is a race car from the ground up. Well balanced and easy to drive fast. Spoon calls the Integra R a "good beginners car". Sorry guys, the Civic R's shorter wheelbase and light weight make it a better track car than the ITR. Sad but true!
That one might take a little getting used to (though the wheels would probably fit if placed in the rear behind a roll bar, like on a tire rack).
The previous Civic Type-R ... (maybe even just a factory VTi with a Drag Turbo kit).

It doesn't look as crappy as most civics, but just a little to ricie for my taste.
When someone ask what you drive what would you say "a civic type-r"
Laughter would rattle the building as images of some yo-boy civic with a 3 foot wing and type-r stickers enters everyone's mind.

you know, it's too bad that riceboys had to blatantly destroy the 'type R' prestige, you know? in 97 and 98 is meant something, and now it's just a joke, except to those that know.
my $0.02.

I also agree.......I wish that Honda had put something down that said people couldn't copy the "Type R" name. I have people asking me all the time. "Is that real"......"I saw a Civic Type R the other day." Sucks.
Yeah I think it has gotten out of hand. The other day I had some guys ask me if I had a real Type R motor in my car. I told them I hoped so considering that I bought a real Type R.
On another note I saw a 5th gen Civic with a 3rd gen Integra front end this morning. It looked good, it was tastefully done and looked stock. Kinda cool.

I was about to ask you if you would sell me your car.
