Anyone use Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 oil in their ITR?
I use valvoline maxlife 10w40 in my mustang, but only because it smokes with anything less, and I'm too tight to put a new engine in it. I thought the 40 weight would push the oil pressure up too high, but so far it seems okay.
The problem with 5w40 is the 35 point spread. Thats a lot of additives that are going to break down. I would bet if you tracked your car with 5w40, it would break down to 20-30 weight by the end of the event.

That is correct - The Enzo uses 10w60, cost 62 US.
Just use MOTUL 300v

Do a oil sample. Thats the only way to really 'try' oil.
The two questions that will answer are, does it create too much wear, and how much does it break down.
