Welcome b16 is going to be your most economical bet based on the choices you listed. Research the swap and decide which way you want to go. You can never learn too much about swaps; that's one thing I learned when I did mine. Good luck.

keep in mind the compatiability of your crx ( cable tranny ) and newer motors with hydro trannies. you can put a cable b tranny on the b motor you buy or you can get a cable to hydro conversion and run a hydro tranny. http://www.hasport.com has the info on that.

Welcome to the world of CRX's...and the boards. As far as the engine's you listed there, I'd go with the B16. IMO, it's the best "bang for your buck". The B18's are awesome engines, but they have an awesome price that comes along with them, the 16's aren't that bad..

Being that you are near chicago, there are some places in chicago that can provide motors for a good price... i got my b16 from some shop there 2 yrs ago for $950, i picked up... anyhow... i'll check my receipts to see if i stil got their number... but anyhow, welcome aboard...

Hmotors . They sell thier swaps for what they are worth, plus they are great cmompany. Most of the other internet dealers gouge thier prices, ever hear of "ricer inflation"

Anyway welcom aboard. you should find us to be very helpful, without being too rude.
