What would be a good b series head to go with gsr bottom?
Thinking about buying a b16a head to work with.
Any thing I should know about?
Which b16a? 1st gen? from 2000 si ??
Was thinking this might be a good way to go.
B16 heads can be found preety cheap, some with port and polish etc.
Thinking this might be a good way to go for all motor build up. Save some dough on port polish. Use ctr pistons if i want. Almost no down time. Sound reasonable? Comments and opinions are most very welcomed.

 

i have a b16 head from a 99 civic si and down low is is lacking a little but up top is where it makes up for it. if i run a gsr with the same mods its close race down low but up top the b16 head kicks in lol and it pulls hard. i also have an ITR intake cam ITR intake manifold and an ITR throttle body

I have skunk manifold , spoon t-body, aem cai.
Isn't the b16 head almost exactly the same as ITR head?

 

the b16 is basicly the same head minus the mild porting and valvetrain
