Default brake upgrades, but still want run 16inch rims?

What brands who are making bigger brake kits for ITR are out there. The stock ITR brake system is too weak for my driving on the Ring and I want to get some suggestions what I should do. I think the brake discs need to be bigger than oem, so I need bigger rims, but I don't want to go bigger than 16inch. Also I don't want to have more offset than 38mm on 7.5x16inch rim. I don't want to use spacers at all.

What is available beside MOVEIT brake systems? AEM big brake kit, Brembo brake kit and the big AP brake kit are out of mind, cause they require 17inch rims. I also don't know if the small AP brake kit for 15inch rims is big enough to stop my 375whp ITR as fast as an GT3 Porsche. I want to stop as fast as this cars, or even equal for an amount of time on the Track. Stock brakes sux after 5 rounds on the track...it is getting too hot and I already run better pads, SS lines and DOT 5.1 Castrol brake fluide.

So, what links can you give me for nice brake kits to fit under 16inch rims with an decent offset.

You may want to check out Fastbrakes. I know they make a kit for the R, but I am not certain of the specs... maybe somebody can give more info on these.

what kind of brake pads are you running?

Because you should be running dedicated brake pads for track use.

Check with Andie at Colbat Friction for your braking needs.

Wilwood Kit 12.2" kit will work with 16" wheels. $606 is pretty darn cheap, comes with a 2 piece rotor as well. The next step up would be a Stop Tech kit but those require a 17" wheel and are $1750.
Good brake pads are key as well.

Yeah agreed! That help quite a bit. What kinda pads, discs etc are u planing to run?

N1spec here on H-T runs a set of AP 6pot brakes under his 16" Compomotive MO rims and he goes to track very often too. U can contact him for more info on his setup.

I've forgot if that's AP5100 (maybe?) that need hardware machined to fit under your own rims. But I ONLY trust OEM, AP, Alcon, Tarox, Brembo on such a hi-whp beast like yours. Since those aftermarket brands are also widely trust by a lot of racers in different FIA races.

Can he still run 16" rims with Endless 6pot though? I don't mean they are no good but he mite need some monster spacer with that setup.

They are good enough and you won´t need spacers. Since you are in europe I supose this would be your best and most cost efective choice and you also won´t have any trouble getting parts for mantainance

that ducting is useless unless it's directed to the eye of the rotor/hub. There's a reason there are vanes (directional most of the time) inside the rotor.

Great pads! Go for AP and try to find out which model fit under your current rims(or fit under thr rims u may get in the future also?). Discs wise AP/Tarox are just as good. They should stand up with DS3000 pretty well IMO.

I have friends that run Tarox rotors with different 4pot and R calipers on their Honda they all give 2 .

I heard good things about Stoptech, but don't know if they would fit 16's.

you should build some brake ducts, that will help cool. and help prevent fade.
