I want to upgrade the brakes on my Turbo ITR for track racing, but I wonder if I can do DRAG racing with an 16inch rim, cause a 15incher will not fit over the caliper. Where to find an 16inch DRAG slick with about 610 mm diameter and 230mm contact path?

 

there isn't **** for 16 inch rims for us import boys.

no slicks, drag radials were discontinued (unless you want to run a 26" tall tire for a domestic)

BFG makes a 255 wide drag radial, but thats if you hate a good turning radius
Nitto makes a 245 drag radial but its meant for a mustang and would be too tall for you.

motormatrix is running the 255 BFG but hes hardcore drag racer like that.

your kinda **** out of luck unless someone has something I haven't seen, I am actually planning on going to a 15" rim so I can get a drag radial.

I don't care about turbing radius, cause I only use the DRAG tire for DRAG racing.

 

well with drag radials most drive them on the street, so you might if you were in that position.

if you arent then slap some 255 BFG's on there and call it a day, b/c you won't find slicks for your car in 16"

the 255/50/16 is 26.1" tall. They are pretty tall tires but alot of meat under them.

hm, I have pulled fenders. I can mount an 8inch rim with offset 35mm abnd will not rub with 245 tire.
