well i did some searches and didnt find the results i want. my crank pully came loose as well as destroying my alternator belt. i got a new one but could someone explain to me how to put it on? does it have something to do with sliding the alternator bracket?
pictures would be very helpful.

1. install crank pulley.
2. Untension the alterantor
3. push alternator towards crank pulley.
4. insatall belt.
5. retension alternator.
done.

 

ah, my question now is how do i untension the alternator?

 

If you have AC there is a little tensioner thing right above it, you'll have to go under the car to see it, loosen that up and loosen the big bolt up top and your set

 

did that and it barely moves. im almost sure that its due to all the buildup of grease and dirt etc.. any ideas of how to loosen that up? i tried wd-40 and it didnt work.
