Just a little advice for new tuners
Just from some personal experiences i've been going thru:
My car has been running like sh*t for a long time now and i've been replacing all these parts that didn't really need to be replaced but i did it trying to look for a solution.
My best advice is Regular Maintenance:
Air filter (even if you think its clean inspect it)
Oil
Fuel Filter
Fluids
And ignition (Spark plugs,Cap, Rotor, Wires, Coil)etc. etc.
In my case i've negelected my ignition rotor since i've had my car
That was about 50,000 miles ago
Now my car runs better than any performance part i've put on.

The rotor/cap should be a part of your regular tuneup. Every 45k or 60k, according to the manual if I remember right?
You can take off your cap and make sure the terminals are still clean and in good condition.
And the orig poster is absolutely right...maintenance is KEY.
