Default what is a knock sensor?

what is a knock sensor and would it cause a car not to have spark?

do first gen jdm b16a have a knock sensor?

do d16z6 have a knock sensor?

would an auto p28 run a first gen b16a?

z6 do not have knock...

knock sensor allows ecu to retard timing spark when it detects audible detonation/knock.

all p28 ecu dont have knock sensor.

One last thing to add. The P28 will run the B16, but it will be VERY lean and I would STRONGLY recommend you do not do this unless the P28 has been chipped for a DOHC engine. Also, you will get a check engine light if you use the auto ecu in a vehicle with a manual transmission due to the lack of the lock up sil.

Knock sensor has nothing to do with it starting or not starting. I run a chipped ECU which ignores the knock sensor with no problems.

Look at your spark. Follow it from the ignition to the spark plug find out where it is good and where it is bad viola there is your problem.....
