Can somone PLEASE tell me what these wires do
I am using a GSR wiring harness on my ITR swap into a 92 VX. I have these extra wires under the distributor and I am wondering what they do. There is no place for them to plug into and I am curious to know what they do. Thanks for the help
Oops forgot to tell you guys the colors of the wires. A green wire with a black stripe and a red wire with a yellow stripe. Once again thanks for the help.
Man you sure are hairy..haha. But anyways just thinking of the top of my head if you say there is no where for it to plug into it should be the plug for the iabs on the GSR intake manifold so you wont need it. As long as you dont have any plugs not plugged in on the motor than yes this is the iabs.

Well first off, does the car crank and idle correctly? Are there any check engine codes?
If all those are fine, don't worry about it but TAPE UP THE WIRES!!!

Ok the car does turn over, but I have a CEL for ECT sensor. I reset the ecu checked the grounds and everything "looked " ok. I started up the car and the idle was perfect. Maybe 2 minutes later I heard that the idle increased and the CEL came back on. I did not know if the CEL was related to those 2 wires. I had the wires taped up but I untaped them and was trying to fin out if they had to be grounded. Thanks again for all the help
Those wires are NOT for the IAB. The wire colors should have made it clear that those wires are not for the IAB. BTW, IAB is an acronym for Intake Air Bypass.
You mentioned that you are throwing a code for the ECT (code 6).
If memory serves me correctly, those wires are for the ECT sensor on the side of the head. What are the wire colors for the plug that is plugged into the ECT sensor at this time?

I can't remember I am away from home for the next 3 weeks. If those are the wires for the Ect sensor shouldn't they have a plug around them? Thanks for the reply. Gotta get this car on the road so I could test out that ecu
