Default JRSC b16: Detonation can be heard throughout RPM's, whats wrong?

My buddy has a built B16A with a JRSC and all fuel mods. Here is the problem. Yesterday we removed his Fuel Pressure gauge because it was leaking and replaced it with a screw and teflon tape. Now when he is above like 4K rpms you can here the ticking of detonation. It just progressively gets worse. Any oneknow what the problem might be. Maybe timing? Maybe what? I dunno. I am going to have a Honda Technician look at it again today but here's a pic just to show everyone whats done.

Anyone know? All you can here after certain RPM's is the slight popping noise of detonation. Also at idle it sounds like the valves are ticking but when listened to up close it isn't the valves. It is coming from the cam gear side of the block, down low.

Come on...some ones gotta know about this? Will adjusting the AFC help? It is running kinda rich, which causes it to bog of the line a little bit. Anyone have AFC tunings that can recreate on his Apex-i AFC to help this problem?

back off on the timing a degree or 2, then give it a shot. Maybe he got some bad gas and will continue to run that way until he can fill up with some good gas.

Could it be that the screw is impeding fuel flow causing a lean condition?
Also, I had situations where I was knocking because I was running too rich. Tuning the jrsc properly is a fine art. With the right A/F ratio and timing it will run great, but it's tough to get to that point.

This is my car. It is not tuned for crap. When I got the car the Super AFC was not even calibrated. It was calibrated for a 6 cyl. I am getting some dyno time next week and putting my AEM EMS in it and going to full tune it and see what I can do. It is not the gas because I ran that out and about halfway through another tank. I have a Autometer Air to fuel and it says I am running way rich. I ordered a splitfire air to fuel. But yeah it is knocking and popping after we took out the B&M Fuel gauge. The screw we put in, is in no way in the way of the fuel rail and is not blocking any fuel path. Also it varies boost when it does it.

K, it has Arias Pistons, Crower Rods, knife edged crank, Skunk2 valve springs and retainers, port & polished head, and outside is has a JRSC with 10lb pulley, AEM Cam Gears, AEM Fule rail, RC Engineering injectors 450 I believe, AEM Fuel rail, B&M FPR, if I missed anything Dustin, post it. It runs a full 10lbs with the Fuel Pressure Gauge off now!

Just turn the distributor forward a bit (after marking its present position) and see if the "knocking" subsides. If not, which I think might be the case, it is something else. Knock and the JRSC is not just a problem, it seems, it just IS.
