ok i have a 91 ls and somtimes in wont go to redline in 1st and 2nd but will in 3rd 4th and 5th it just seemd like it has a revlimiter im not sure wat it could be just looking for some leads so i can figure this out....

 

do you have a different ecu or gauge cluster in there, cause it could be the ecu stopping it

 

do you know what the rev limiter sounds like? just an example (dont laugh) vrooooooom dun dun dun dun dun

yeah i know wat a rev limiter sounds like but it wont go past say 6200 in 1st and 2nd but i can hit 7000 in 3rd and 4th im just not sure wat it could be from wat i know it has a stock ecu but the guy i bought it from had said it had a chip but did not specify.so how can i tell if it is the ecu thanks for the help....
