questions on cams gears on stock cams........questions
ok me and my girlfriend bought a 92 gsr, and we what to go all motor with it. But we also dont want to destory the integrity of having a 92 gsr, because they are kind of rare. so we want to keep the stock specs on the valvetrain including the cams. but i am interested in going with some aftermarket cam gears. Now one of my friend told me it would be pointless. having stock cams and aftermarket gears.i was just wondering if this is true? what kind of difference will we see if i do get some? also i am not that knowledgable on cam gears and timing and was wondering i someone could give me a site or explain the advantages of advancing and retarting the timing. and also would like to know some of the better cam gears on the market for what we want to do.
thanks

I believe you will see gains, but every car is differnt. I would invest in a set of Cam gears and a Hondata for your application. With proper tuning of the Hondata alone you will see gains and I blieve even larger gains while tuning cam gears and Hondata tuning on a stock motor and stock cams.
