Default how do I replace the cabin a/c filters?

I was told that the filters are behind the glove compartment. Removed all visible screws and 2 screws under pry up's. Couldn't pull up glove compartment. Any ideas. 1999 Honda Accord 4dr ex 4cyl

Found this on another forum. Hope this can help someone else.

"Before you do all this make sure that all your vents are open. i had a funny noise coming from my passenger side and thought and could not figure out for the life of my what it was.... then after a while of listening to this scary (sounds like money to be spent) sound for a few hours i leaned over and opened up my vent.... and vuaallaaa, the sounds was gone"

you'll need to take the glove box off first

1. start by taking off the center cover of the dashboard, that would be the piece of plastic that extends down into that small recess in the center console (in front of the shifter), it's held in there by 4 clips, so just pry the thing off

2. remove the passenger side fuse box cover (just yank on it, there's 3 clips on this one, the handy handle is quite handy)

3. now this sets you up to remove the lower passenger side dashboard (below the glove box), there are two screws that you need to undo on the right side (fuse box side) and one on the left side, then the rest are just clips, you want to disengage the lower clips first by pulling the entire cover down and then the whole thing should come right out with a good tug..

4. now you can hit the glove box, there are 4 screws on the bottom of the box that you JUST uncovered by removing the lower dash... 3 are right below the glove box door and one more is below that one...

5. now open the glove box and there are 4 screws here that you'll need to undo, 2 of them are where the door hooks to close in the middle. the other two are on the sides covered by small panels, just pry the panels off and you'll see the screws...

6. now you have everything off that's holding the box in, you can slowly pull the box out, there's two hooks on either side of the box that hold the box in place, just finess the box out. you should also push down on the striker as well to aid the process... and don't forget to disconnect the light (i remember disconnecting the light to be kind of a squeeze, but doable)

7. alright, so now that the glove box is out, you'll see a thin metal plate below where the glove box was, it's aluminum colored, there are 3 screws you need to undo here to get the plate off, be careful because these screws are easy to strip

8. once you have the plate off, you'll see the evaporator and you'll see a black plastic cover that you can snap off, snap it off and you'll see the edges of the 2 A/C filter housings

9. you want to take the LOWER housing out FIRST, then the UPPER.

10. replace the filters (they pop right out) and then reinstall everything in REVERSE order.

"alright, that's it... if you want to take the evaporator out too, you're already there, at this point, just remove all the screws, nuts, and bolts holding the evaporator in place and then unplug the wire to the temp sensor and it'll come right out"
