Default anyone done this with a B18c1 swap???

I have a 95 EH2 and B18c1 motor, and have been without an o2 sensor for a few days. Instead of getting a GSR cat where it will plug into, anyone add wire and make the civic o2 sensor longer...and plug it into the header?? my rs*r header has the flex pipe in, and i don't want to mess with exhaust right now, so i'm wondering if anyone's done this with their swap..and if it was throwing code for it??? thanks.

If you have an OBD1 motor, I don't think it will be a problem. All it will do is move the sensor a few inches upstream of the GSR placement. It's mostly the OBDII that gets pissy about sensors and locations. An OBD1 does not even care if there is a cat. The main thing is if you are in a state that cares much about swaps, in which case you will have to make it like the GSR to be perfectly legal. As far as running properly, I doubt you will see any problems. You may not make full power with the header and cat from the different motor though.
