1) search
2) if you dont want to search, do it yourself as its been discussed
3)as i mentioned in the searched topic, if you dont even know how to wire up a simple relay like this, go and pay someone to do it. My pet hamster could do it for you, for a measley $80 bucks.
4)welcome, to the board. this forum is really going downhill with the level of questions

They should only be on when you signal. You can wire them however you like. People do it their own styles.

I think the level of PEOPLE is going down as well.

I think the question is How to custome wire the light so they com on with the parking lites but go off with the regular headlights and function normal when the headlights are on.

I think ...

I have a good suggestion. Why not have a LIST of acceptable questions? Or if you are SOOOOOO tired of the "Level" of question why not create a FAQ. I belong to another web forum that had a FAQ.
Sure I think people posting the SAME question over and over Like 20 How to do XXX threads within 2 days. But geeez lighten up a bit if you don't like the post then DON'T POST ON IT and let it die. DON'T READ IT!!! Something Just CHILL.

This is a Public Web forum that is IT. Nothing more. Honda-Tech is just another Web forum just like the other. Many of the same H-T users you find on Team Integra and ITRCA and Club Si etc etc.
Most web forums have a group of people that like to talk about their cars and their experiences. Some need help in certain areas such as maintenance or fixing something they F upped. But then there are some people who just want to bust ***** and complain. THIS is what I think brings down the site moresoe than a few repeated questions. Just my .02 cents.
Things that are offensive and derogatory sure complain your little heart out

I agree with Spoond Teg. I don't like repeated topics just like the next guy, but the search function for this site really sucks. Either I get way too many topics, or not enough. We need some way to improve it so that new people can find stuff they're looking for. Maybe we should have a How To: Archive. I don't know, but everyone in here needs to chill out.

And if you are not a Moderator don't start IMing me bull ****. I posted one thing that was told to me by another person and it may or may not be wrong, but I don't need some wannabe moderator IM ing me.

You are in this post and you know who you are. I'll leave it at that.

its simple. no need to cry about it, really.

you search, prior to asking a question. people just cant figure out what to search for. I found 3 different threads about this jdm wiring crap in the search. not to mention i've answered this question a dozen times or so.

common sense would say as this is one of the most trafficked forums, a "where can i get HIDS" or "how do I wire up jdm lights" or "how do I fix my ITR headlight fluid chamber from leaking" should be searched.

if you want to deal with the drama, and become h-t last savior, then go right ahead. but imo its not worth it as then the people who dont have half a clue as to how good the search engine thats provided for us is, will never use it.

use the search. the search is your friend.

The search function is great. It works perfectly fine, but people just don't know how to use it properly or they just don't have the patience to weed through a couple of threads. When people say they can't find a particular topic that has been asked a billion times, it really pisses me off. "I've searched but couldn't find anything" blah blah blah BS

Here's a suggestion for every member on HT: when you create a thread, make the title as direct and precise in a few words. Don't put "please help" or "I have a problem" or "exhaust". Try to be more specific, that way the search feature will be more effective and will benefit everyone.

I agree completely. Varying thread topics for the same question is what makes things hard. Is there any way we could categorize the more important how to stuff?

How you define more important may not be how others do as well....some really stupid questions are the ones asked most frequently, even though most of us would not consider them important.

As far as the parking light thing, in order to get them to turn off when your headlights go on, you'll need to run some relays, because when your headlights are on, so are your parking lights... not sure exactly how you'd do that, but you'll definitely have to get creative....

Out of curiosity, why the hell do you want to do that???? You'd almost be better off just making them run of a switch rahter than the parking lights, and have the relay automatically shut them off when the headlights go off, that would be much easier to do, and you'll even still be able to use them as blinkers, cause they're different wires as the parking lights, though it all depends on what you're looking to accomplish.

Wut ever!

Search Function SUCKS!
If yo are enlightened as to the inner workings of this function then please do SHARE the knowledge.

If perhaps there was a way to refine the search so as to weed out all the WTB and FS from classifieds then perhaps someone might find something once in a while. I think people are plenty guilty of posting a question w/o search, but I also think there are SOME who are TOO quick to Drop the "DO A SEARCH!" comment before reading the entire question.
Maybe if the search function allowed you to search within a list of "Found Topics"
REFINE THE SEARCH FUNCTION AND THEN we don't have to hear the whyning about "Do a Search" ever 5 posts. But Some people just WANT to be A$$es and a better search function will not make them go away.

the search function is a lottery to an extent... if you don't select words that were in the title then your never gonna get a hit even though there are many threads with what you want.
