Default Got REAR EMBLEM JACKED:: What NOW?? Opinions?

Just got my rear emblem jacked today at the University's Parking lot. What should i do now? Put on a new one or shave it?Is there a difference in quality between the Authentic R emblems adn the ones they sell everywhere? Do anyone of you know if insurance covers this? And one more thing. Does shaving them cost alot?? Luckly i had my car mask on in the front or else the front emblems would be gone also.

Ask the Dealer what to do. If you don't get the emblem replaced then it might devalue the car........That is if you are going to sell the car.

I suggest a "FA-Q" emblem instead.

sadly, welcome to the "I got my rear emblem jacked" club

I bit the bullet and replaced it w/ the real deal

if j00 wanna replace it, call up scott in parts at south coast acura and tell him j00r w/ SoCal ITR or that I (yoshi) sent j00. He'll sell to j00 for alot cheaper than other dealers.

yoshi - who hopes no more emblems get jacked!

Thanks Yoshi, where is this acura dealer located? I'll definately go there then. I'll probably have to touch up the paint there also cuz they did a horrible job stealing it. Well anywayz let me know what city that acura dealer is. Thanks man!!!

tj ~

yeah,...i bought my replacement emblems through scott way back when...list was $58, and he gave 'em to me for $42. this was before there was any sort of official socalitr discount though, so it *might* be better...not sure.

i've decided i'm leaving my rear emblem off,...so i tjust sits in my room right now...i kinda have grown to appreciate the look (seeing as it was forced upon me...huhu)...

touchup paint shouldn't be more than a little over 5 ducats, btw...

-k-b0t, who's bought all those things...whee...

All the ITR's that I saw in Vancouver had no emblems. Guess people just love stealing them in that city.

If you plan on keeping your ITR, I'd say keep it off and take the front one off as well. Just one less thing to worry about.

Just one less thing to worry about.

this has been the number 1 side effect of having been involuntarily debadged...

and i think i'd shave it, if the cost weren't so high....

but ah well...

-k-b0t, who will be satisfied with just shaving his face tonight..

I would get buy an authentic one, but not put it on. Instead put the fake one in the back. This way, when and if you sell the car, you'll have the real one to put on later.

Personally, I'm getting "H" emblems black chromed on my black car.

Do you have an itr?

If so, either shave the rear or put on the black chrome H's that are optional on the s2000's... This looks especially good on a PY... imho

Get the authentic red and keep it for when you sell the car.

Might as well shave the front one too... Bra will fit better that way.

remember...the front emblem has those little sorta-swaging washer nut thingies (that's the technical term, don't try this at home, kidd0z) on the inside of the bumper...

..hence the increased difficulty of jacking the front over the rear...

-k-b0t, who needs to buy two new little...umm...thingies..

next time *hopes not* my emblem gets jacked I think I'll put one of those crooked "H" emblems. Someone told me that it was a Hyundai emblem, but I don't believe them

Have it shaved off completely. Screw emblems.
