After looking over my low budget with school tuitions, I'm going to have to put the turbo installation on hold (maybe even sell the kit). I'm going to build up a motor with the parts I have and then buy a nitrous kit, probably a NX kit.

Here is the setup I'm planning:
Ls block
81.5mm Wiseco pistons (11.5:1 CR)
LS rods
Arp head/rod bolts
b16 head
Skunk2 Stage 2 cams/gears
itr IM
DC jdm 4-1 header or Comptech/Greddy 4-2-1
3" Thermal exhaust.
Nitrous Express 75 shot (is a progressive controller needed?)

I have a few questions though. Does the S2 cams have too much overlap for nitrous? Should I go with CTR cams instead? I tried searching for nitrous information on here, but wasn't able to find much. I've seen ls rods holding upward to 300whp on a turbo setup, is there a problem holding about 235-250 whp on a nitrous setup? I figure that nitrous would cool the intake charge while a FI compress and heats up the intake air, so it might be less prone to detonation. What kind of hp do you guys make on nitrous? What kind of car and setup? This is going on a DC for now, and hopefully into an EG hatch when my friend finds a real job Feel free to add any valuable input on this subject. Thanks.

u can shoot 100 shot with no problem. I hade a stock ls/vtec with 75 shot and car went 12.4. I would go nitrous anytime I can.
