you have to mill the rods a little so it'll clear the pistons.

Well, I'm putting P30 (JDM B16) pistons in mine..

From what everyone tells me, you want new rings, so then you need to hone the block to allow the new rings to seat.

Which you are looking at tearing the block pretty much down to bare, so you can clean it right, after the honing.

Hoping more people will chime in with their responses. I'm pulling my motor next week to start installation of the new parts...

Oh, yeah.

I believe 1 mm off each side of the rods.

But, B16 pistons will go on without milling..

Search on this one, lots been posted.

The small end of the LS rod is too wide to fit the pistons. You have to mill the flat surfaces where the wrist-pin

Or you can have the pistons modified for the rods. I have .25 over CTR's on LS rods.

If I was planning on doing an ls vtec. WOuld I be ok with just getting ITR pistons. Or should I get new rods too ? If I get the machine shop to hone my block. WOuld I be able to do the install of the pistons myself ?

Could get B16 (PR3)pistons, they are cheap, a little bit more compression that ITRs, less than CTRs..

you don't NEED rods, they'd help, just get some $30 arp rod bolts, you'll be good
