If you didnt know, the sac autox is finally schedule some events. It came out like 2-3 weeks ago? But the set dates are the 10th and 30th of august @ San Joaquin Fairgrounds. heres a link to the site

It's great that they have events again but even the hardcore Sac guys aren't too enthusiastic about the site. Right in the middle Stockton so lock your gear up.

hehe. Stockton. Fun times, I know. oh well. i'm gonna bring just what I need and maybe have a friend watch over my stuff

 

Yeah, I was planning on attending that event. I missed the last one because I went to try out an autocross at Lockheed Martin. It should only cost me $25 this time, right?


I'm only harsh on Stockton because one year someone jumped in a autocrosser's truck and drove off with his Corvette on the trailer. Fortunately enough autocrossers chased him down and got the truck and corvette back but the guy got away into the ghetto.

Another year a fellow DSP driver had his street rims stolen.

Non-SCCA: $35

Geratol and I were talking about my local club's Auto-x.
He paid a $10 initiation fee (which he'll never pay again)
$18 for the one year membership ($9 after if you join after July)
$25 for the auto-x.
So $52 for his FIRST event. But after that, it's $25 to run our events. With seven events this year, it's a good deal.

We only have 40-50 cars/drivers during an event. We keep it small. We have a min. of 4 runs w/ practice laps. Courses are from 28 to 45 secs long depending on the setup of the course.

I'm chairing the next event, BTW.
