Default 1st time at track tonight!

in finally went and ran the 1/8th near my house tonight. i ran it 3 times, but my clutch started slipping really bad on the 3rd. ive got a 91 crx si w/ exhaust, lowered and ran on street tires.

1st run - r/t - .950 , 60' - 2.443 , 330' - 6.935 , 1/8 - 10.657 @ 66.53

2nd run - r/t - 1.054 , 60' - 2.554 , 330' - 7.111 , 1/8 - 10.911 @ 65.41

3rd run - r/t - .553 , 60' - 2.378 , 330' - 6.888 , 1/8 - 10.681 @ 65.89

is this bad for my first time and having an almost stock crx?

i was tryin to break 10 even, and i thought i was going to get it on my 3rd run by the way i took off, but i went into second and had to let off becuase the clutch was slipping so bad.

I ran an 11.1 @61 mph with a stock 88 CRX DX, so 10.6 is pretty good for an exhaust only Si. Just got my MPFI done with a PG7, the car runs much stronger so Im really hoping to run at least a 10.6. Good times

I had I/E with my factory d16a6 engine, and 16" rims, at a sea level track. It was my 1st time, and I ran a 10.4. So yours is pretty fair, with your stock setup. Ryan

yeh ive got 16s too, w/ toyo proxes.. the staging was just hard cuz it was weired, i wasnt ready in time, all 3 yellow lights would go at once then the green would. i guess my rt's were pretty good.

tomorrow im doing a little tune up on my car, im 2k miles past my oilchange i havent been paying attention and it looks like im low on coolant.

also, i ran w/out a hood. haha, you think i woulda been faster w/ one.

Yeah, I felt awkward on the line too. It was on a straight at laguna seca, so it was a hair down hill, and you had to hold your ebrake till you launched, it sucked. You would have been a bit more aerodynamic with the hood, but prolly not a noticeable difference. Ryan
