HID mount problem
today i remount my HID ballast and i just realize if any part of the ballast touch the car is will create a short (sparkle, lights come on), so i use duct tape wrapped my ballast and put the here. same as a member who posted on here before
i took the pic while i was searching, whoever owns the pic plz dont sue me
but the problem is he line on the left side (i think it's power steering line) get's really hot after driving a while at night, so i'm just wondering if duct tape can take the heat or not ? and is it good for ballast to sit there, that line will be really hot during the day time i think.
what do you people think ? will the duct tape take the heat ? should i leave it there?
sorry for my poor english

i dont know i'm kinda worry now, because i drove from my friend's house back home tonite, and it's only 15-20 mins drive and it's at night around 21c degree. but after i park the car and touch that line with my figer it actual kinda burns me.
wonder if it will be fine during a 30 degree daytime. hope it doesnt melt my duct tape.
and does anyone know that philips ballast ( any part of the ballast) conduct electricity? ballast touch any metal part of my car i can hear buzzz sound and see sparkle....

It happened to me while I was doing my retrofit, found out that I had the ground/positive wires on backwards. Switch em and see what happens because the ballasts should not spark.
BTW-- nice picture
